River Canoe Safari
Enjoy a guided canoe safari down the Kabba River keeping a keen eye out for the birdlife and wildlife along the banks of the river. The two- to three-hour journey is blissfully peaceful and if you’re lucky you may just come across a pod or two of hippo.
Karangia Hill Hike
Nature enthusiasts will enjoy a two-hour hike up Karangia Hill – Karangia means ‘Hill of Learning’ in the local Susu language. Best hiked very early morning in time for sunrise, Karangia Hill provides a beautiful vantage point from which to see the rainforest, Mount Outamba and the Kuru Hills on the border of Guinea.
Nature Trek
Intrepid trekkers can embark on a guided hike through the dense Outamba-Kilimi National Park landscape in search of the resident wildlife, from buffalo and bush pigs to monkeys and chimpanzee. A just reward for this two-day trek will be a visit to Yomba Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Sierra Leone.
