Located on the outskirts of Freetown, in 100 acres of rainforest within the Western Area Peninsula National Park, Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary is a conservation organisation that cares for rescued orphaned chimpanzees and is actively engaged in conservation education and community outreach to safeguard the remaining natural habitats of Sierra Leone and eliminate wildlife trade.
